Income and Expenditure against Budget, January 2012

Year End Financial Position

Note from the Treasurer:  At the end of 2011, Christ Church had a significant surplus of between 3000 and 4000 euros, as compared with the start of the year, which is wonderful. However, 2012 will be a difficult year as we will lose our only outside financial support in April. This means our income for the year will be down € 8000, which we are going to have to work very hard to make up.  Regular updates will be in the Newsletter and on this web-site throughout the year.

CHRIST CHURCH OUTREACH  2011

Every year, through its outreach association, la Solidarité Anglicane, Christ Church gives away 10 % of its income to causes sponsored by members of Christ Church.  This is both an expression of our gratitude for all that we have, and a way of helping those in greater need.

These causes vary greatly in size and scope.  We have sent grants to Wateraid and to the Haiti and New Zealand disaster funds,  helped with the Christian work of former Christ Church members and with the studies of Rom children in Bulgaria, encouraged the ABEJ who work with homeless young people in Lille and donated to our patrons, the International Church Society for the setting up of new churches elsewhere in the world.

In November, the Soli committee will be deciding which organisations will receive grants this year.

Would you like to suggest an organization or a person as a grant beneficiary?  Anyone on the Christ Church Electoral Roll may propose and sponsor a cause.

To download the simple procedure for applying, click here, or ask any of the officers to give give you a copy.  And if you have any queries, please contact one of us and we will be happy to explain more fully.

The dead-line for applications is 31st October 2011.

Thank you.

Frances Coester – President

Chris Clarke – Treasurer

Sophie Melville – Secretary

David Bolton, Suzanne Bray, Peter Hawkins, Debbie Flach – Committee Members

BRADERIE 2011

First and foremost, a very big THANK YOU to everyone.

Whether you donated a cake, a quiche or your time and energy last weekend, your contribution helped to make the ‘Christ Church Tea Rooms’ as successful as the storm on Saturday night and the miserable weather on Sunday morning allowed.

Chris has done his sums and € 3271,00 have been paid into the Solidarité funds as a result.

Well done to everyone and now start preparing for next year !

A Message from our Treasurer:

At end July, the Church’s income continues to be above expenditure after 7 months, despite the holidays.  This is good news, but we still have quite a way to go to meet our target for the year (Budget + €12000 to cover for the loss of our grant from Maisons Laffitte).

Let’s try to make this year’s Braderie an even more roaring success than ever!
