Statement of Faith

We accept the Old and New Testaments as being the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary to salvation, believing them to be wholly trustworthy and free from error in both history and doctrine, and to be the supreme authority for faith and conduct. Timeless truth and principles for life are set out in the Bible. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus called the Spirit of Truth, these need to be proclaimed afresh in each generation, with thoughtful and prayerful interpretation and application across changing culture and a deepening understanding of our world.

We exist to serve all English-speaking people of Lille and the surrounding area, reaching out to them with the love of God, helping them to find faith in Jesus Christ and to grow in that faith, applying it to their daily life and sharing it with others.

Though holding to an Evangelical position, we unite in the name of Jesus, whatever our denominational background might be. All baptised Christians, who would receive Communion in their home fellowship, are invited to receive the bread and wine of Communion side by side.

Our priorities are:

- Continued growth, spiritual development and training of all members,
- Reaching out to all ages, children and young families,
- Prayer, Bible study & Alpha courses,
- Ministry to students & young professionals,
- Developing variety in worship & music,
- Building on relations with other French-speaking churches in the area.
